The Blue Sky Retreat at San Geronimo Lodge, a classic southwestern style adobe guest lodge and retreat, built in the 1920's over the original Witt family farmhouse, and nestled in the foothills of Cañon, sits only minutes from the center of Taos, and feels surprisingly private and bucolic. It is a grand lodge built in a grand style, with the main lodge entrance hosting a reception area, cozy living rooms with kiva fireplaces, a large event, dining and entertainment hall that can seat up to 75 guests, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen. The 18 adjoining rooms each with a private bath, enjoy covered porches and often a private deck and classic kiva fireplace. The Retreat Center is surrounded by over 2.3 luscious acres of manicured grounds, including a New Mexican Chile-shaped in-ground, heated pool, a meditation labyrinth, and a classic 30 foot Yurt, built for events and classes. The landscape features winding pathways throughout the grounds, a historical acequia that has seasonal running water and water rights, and fruit trees and gardens galore. The Owners have meticulously transformed the property, increased exposure to the space through creative social media platforms, and created a program to build long term consistent cash flow, all while maintaining the integrity and charm of this historical setting. The new owner will have a connection to this land and to the idea of creating a harmonious space where visitors and guests can restore and rejuvenate themselves. You may have a background in events, hospitality or simply the desire to learn something new. The current owners are successful entrepreneurs who have specialized in creating and marketing unique and transformative experiences, and have offered assistance and consultation going forward. New Mexico is finding its place amidst this great reshuffling of resources, priorities and people...visit us to find out why we call it, the Land of Enchantment, and arrange a private tour of this magical, one of a kind property.
